The
book is divided in two volumes containing information on fossil and modern
siluriform fishes. Volume 1 includes sixteen chapters on the anatomy,
function and functional morphology, and the phylogenetic relationships among
siluriforms and systematics of certain catfishes groups. Volume 2 includes
ten chapters on the fossil record and paleodistribution, ecology and
ethology, development and sensory biology. The book will be useful to
ichthyologists and students.
